Find a need - create a solution

This is a picture of the first knit felted project I did - thanks to Teri! I decided this would be my knitting bag. At first is was just a burgundy bag and then I decided to needle felt dots around it to make it more fun. I thought that it was a great bag and I was pleased with my first attempt. However, I discovered that I didn't like that everything fell to the bottom of the bag, so I began designing the inside so that it would work out for me and my projects. I went to the fabric store to look for fabric that would be just perfect for it. When I was getting the fabric cut I said out loud "Yep, this makes me happy, it makes me smile when I look at it" and the lady stopped cutting the material and looked at me for a moment and then said "Huh, that's how everyone should pick out material". I love my bag so much, I have decided to make a few single project knitting bags and baskets. They will be available at Thewoolpurl on Etsy.com

Beads and Cotton Thread

So much fun, and oh so tiny. Loved them at "Stitches" and had to learn how to make my own. After two, I think I'm addicted. The first little bag didn't turn out quite the way I had hoped, but try, try again. Now this little mauve and pink one is finished and available in the shop. Starting another one tonight.

Let me know...do you like the chain necklace or would a matching beaded one be better?

A Day (the whole day in fact) at Stitches Midwest 2010

Bus loads of people, a long line to get in and oh so much to see. I think we saw it all. Where did the time go. Had a great time with an old friend, met new people and touched lots of beautiful hand spun, hand dyed, soft as can be yarn.

Oh the things you dream of making while you hold great yarn.

My favorite find of the day (besides a few skeins of multi colored yarn in my teal bag), a ceramic yarn holder that won't let my yarn hit the floor.

Flowers blooming everywhere

It's nice and hot here, maybe too hot to knit...no don't think so.

With the heat comes beautiful flowers and baby birds.

Hope there's some nice weather where you are.

Inspiration Makes it One of a Kind

Besides creating something from scratch, part of the fun is the search for the inspiration. We are always on the look out for the perfect accessory or idea to help us create something new. Since each item we create is individual and unique we currently do not offer custom orders.

Today our inspiration might be a bird, a pin or a handle, but tomorrow we might find something new that makes us smile. We never know what we'll find on our inspiration outings and we know we may never find it again.

We love that no two bags will ever be the same. Hope you do to.
