Thread Jointing, Help with those arms and legs

Need a little help putting those arms and legs on your softie? I just added a new You Tube Video titled Thread Jointing.

So...keep in mind, I'm not very good at this video making thing (obviously), of course I have some excuses, it was early and my iPhone is tiny (aren't they all). Sometimes seeing something done is easier then reading, so I hope the video helps a little. Happy Crocheting.

Cold Winter Nights and Snuggly Blankets

It's that time of year again. Time to grab your favorite blanket, a cup of coffee, put on your old slippers, sit in your favorite chair and crochet or knit something warm and cozy.

Well, I'm on a blanket kick at my house and since some of you have been asking about the monkey pattern (no longer available directly from me because it's going to be in a Annie's Attic Leaflet with several other pattern in February, yippee),  I thought it might be nice to make a Monkey Huggy Blanket. Hope you like it.  Keep warm and speedy needles and hooks to you if you are making someone a special gift.

Free Snowman Cocoon and Hat for So Cute Baby

It's getting chilly here in Illinois and it's time to pull out those winter hats and mittens. Keep baby warm (and cute) with a snowman cocoon and hat. This fun set works up quickly using the basic cocoon and teddy bear hat pattern with just a few changes here and there to turn it into snowman wear.

So Cute Baby Snowman Cocoon and Hat
crochet pattern by Teri Crews Designs

Materials:
~Worsted Weight Yarn
2 oz white, 1 oz black, small amount of green, small amount of orange (sample made with "Impeccable" Yarn from Micheal's
~size I and size G crochet hook
~tapestry needle
~fiberfill
Finished measurements: fits So Cute Baby by Teri Crews
Abbreviations and Stitches Used:
ch=chain fo=fasten off hdc=half double crochet
rnd= round sc=single crochet sl st = slip stitch
st(s)=stitch or stitches 2sctog = sc 2 stitches together dc= double crochet
yo = yarn over ( ) or [ ] = repeat enclosed, number of times indicated after
reverse sc= sc in stitch to the right of last sc, instead of to the left
Notes and Tips:
Helpful to read these before starting and maybe even again when it's time to put your softie together
~Do not join pieces that are crocheted in the round unless otherwise indicated in each individual pattern piece
~A stitch marker will come in handy when repeating rounds or another helpful way to keep track of your rounds is to, start all pieces with a long tail, pull the tail through the beginning stitch of each round.
~Important, because your cute baby is small and has lots of little pieces, please never give him or her to a small child or baby.

Several of you have asked about a cow. I'm thrilled to announce she's ready to meet you. Not sure why a cow took me so long (especially since there are lots of cows lounging in my kitchen).
